Excel for Windows 10 brings you a preview of the future version of the program for the new Microsoft Office.

With it you can create spreadsheets for all purposes, with a series of resources to increase your work.

To use the software you need to make the connection to your Microsoft account, which is the same one used to open Windows 8 or access Outlook.com, for example. Once the connection is made, you can already enjoy the features of the application, however, some functions are restricted for use with the Office 360 subscription.

Spreadsheets

Although many do not have the affinity they would like with the program, Microsoft Excel is one of the most traditional applications in spreadsheet creation. Likewise, the variety of features makes it one of the most complete in the market and, consequently, one of the favorites of those who use this type of software.

This version of the application is known as "Preview", and its purpose is to present a sketch of what the next generation of Excel will look like in Office for Windows 10. So it's interesting that you keep in mind that it is not yet the final product and may undergo several changes until its launch.

Initially, the application interface maintains the same style as previous versions, with a window without traditional menus and functions divided into tabs. In addition, the tab names were maintained to facilitate the use of those who were already accustomed to the tool. One difference, however, here is the "Page Layout" tab, which is no longer present in Excel Preview.

The layout of the program was maintained, including the same color style for the window and the same organization for managing your files. Excel for Windows 10 integrates with OneDrive, instantly making all stored and synchronized documents available on your virtual drive.

Opening, Editing, Sharing

Once you have the program open, the ideal starting point is to choose whether you want to open an existing document or create a new sheet, both options being found in the "File" tab. After entering the data, you can navigate between the tabs to apply the functions that you think fit.

The program has tabs with a reduced number of buttons, which makes your look simpler, but at the same time leaves everything with more organization. When you access certain items, such as inserting a chart, you may notice that new tools are displayed on the screen so you can freely wrap the added element.

Another interesting point is a tool that was already available in the version of the program for mobile devices, which is the reading mode. By using this function, you will view content as if you were reading a digital book, making it easier to review data and make the task much more enjoyable.
However, at least so far this alternative is only available for touch screen devices.

Excel for Windows 10 is a version for you to know about the next-generation prototype of Excel for the Microsoft operating system. Just as with the company's most recent products, you need to use your Microsoft account (which is the same one used to enter the OS) to open the application.

The program has a well-organized interface that puts your functions intuitively on the screen, making it no more difficult to use it. If you are already accustomed to using Excel, you will feel familiar with the old versions right from the first access because the screen layout and feature structure has been maintained.

The only exception to this rule was the "Page Layout" tab, which is no longer among the menu options. Even if you are not part of the group that has already had contact with Excel, you should also have no doubts, as the style in which the tools are made makes your location not difficult.

Leaner appearance

However, compared to the latest version of Excel, there is a detail that draws much attention, which is the application toolbar. It appears in a slightly more compact version, showing only the buttons referring to the main functions. All other alternatives are only opened when you enter an item that involves them.

In this way, the overall appearance of the screen is cleaner and the use of the program becomes easier, because there is a "clustered" of options. The program maintains integration with the OneDrive documents, with an immediate association of the synchronized items in the service.

For new items, you can create a blank document or a list of annotations, and at least in this version, there are no longer the file templates that were previously available. If you use a handset with a touch screen also has the reading function, which is useful for reviewing data, improving the viewing of the document.

Excel for Windows 10 is a lightweight tool and is capable of running without any kind of slowness on the computer.
