Part of Nero Multimedia Suite, Nero Burning ROM is an application made specifically to assist you in burning and copying media discs - specifically CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. The software, which is among the best known in its field, has as its main highlight its enormous number of options, while being accessible and intuitive to anyone who uses it.

In order to use it, however, you need to have a proper tape drive. A CD recorder, for example, is limited to working only with CDs. A DVD recorder can support DVDs and CDs. Finally, Blu-Ray recorders can also burn the other two discs.

As accurate as you want

Burning a disc with Nero Burning ROM is no secret. When you start the application, the software already opens the recorder automatically. From this, you can change the options according to the type of disc used: it is possible, use it as a simple data storage system or even choose an option specifically for a task - a music CD, for example, saves less data, but works on more devices.

The configuration process itself is as complex as you wish. This is because, if you want, you can customize each option in the window tabs. For those who do not know or do not want complications, in turn, just click the burn button, since Nero Burning ROM comes with the most commonly used options prepared by default.

No wonder the fact that Nero Burning ROM is a great program. As always, it has been showing the reason for being considered by many as one of the best on the market, with a good data recording performance and several configuration options at your disposal.

At the same time, there is no way not to be a bit disappointed by the "evolution" of software. In recent years, the differences in Nero Burning ROM have bordered on the imperceptible - in fact, the vast majority will need to compare the apps side by side to notice some difference between the versions.

Okay, the philosophy "in the winning team does not move" has value here, but did they even need to release a new version of the software if the changes border the imperceptible? Unfortunately, it seems that not.

This does not mean, of course, that Nero Burning ROM is bad. Quite the contrary: he has always done very well and continues to do the same. But if you already have the previous version installed on your computer, there are unlikely to be grounds for investing in the application in its 2015 version.
